We (Faye and I)
consider ourselves early adopters of modern electronics. We were
one of the first people we know to own devices like VCR's, Mobile
Phones, Multiple Home Computers, home
computer networks, the list goes on. These things are common place
now. Based on our experience with household robotics, we think they
will be common place very soon.
We have been using with some personal robotics over the past couple
of years. We currently own a RoboMower RL 500 from a company
called
Friendly Robotics.
It works wonderfully and relieves us from having to mow the lawn
every week. This device saves about 1.5 hour a week of not having
to mow the lawn.
Friendly Robotics now sells a Household vacuum. It's likely next on
my list. This device looks like it could keep the carpets nice and
tidy all week long saving me another hour or so a week. I've also
considered the
Roomba
but haven't made the leap just yet. I know for an early adopter it
seems like we should have made this move nut I've been concerned
about how much dirt the unit could hold. It may be my next purchase
as the friendly Robotics model is so expensive.
