The Open Automaton Project is a robotics project that I've become involved in. It gives me a place to try out some of the things I wouldn't normally get a chance to try. My budget is limited as our oldest son started College this year, but I'm trying to do the things I can with the limited supply of money. In addition, my time seems to limit the project as well. So far it's been fun, and I'll try to update my progress here on this site. There is a OAP Community Web Site where others that are involved are placing their updates as well if you are interested.
I've named my robot Marvin after the depressed robot in Hitchhikers guide. Seemed like a good fit for now, and based on Marvin's current state (locked down and can't move) it might be a bit depressing.
